Broken White Crayons, The Pussycat Dolls, and Football // The Things She Says #3

5th June 2015

It doesn’t seem all that long ago that I wrote the last ‘The Things She Says’ post, but my daughter is clearly at a funny age because I have another big long list of the funny things she has said recently. Actually I shouldn’t be surprised as she makes me laugh every day with the things she comes out with!

Ava the things she says

Here are some of the funny things my three year old daughter has said…

“Maybe this is broken” – Trying a white crayon on white paper!

“My tummy isn’t hungry anymore, my tummy says it’s nap time” – My poorly girl.

I gave her some toast: “Oh my gosh! (dramatically) That bit hasn’t got marmite on it” – What a bad mummy.

“Boys like football and girls like things that are better than football” – Well, quite.

A: “I would like to have a different mummy”
Me: “Why”
A: “Because then that mummy would say ‘yes you can have a snack'”

“Will you do me a flavour mummy?”

When I play with her hair: “Stop it mummy you’re messing up my mane”

“Mummy you have nice boobies” – Why thank you!

Ava to Granny: “Do you know what I wish?”
Granny: “What?”
Ava: “I wish I had a different mummy”.

Then when I was putting her to bed I said to her “you don’t want a different mummy really do you” and she said “yep!” straight away. Then I said “you love me don’t you” (I’m needy!) and she said “I do but I didn’t when Granny and Grandad were here”! Then I put her in her cot and said night and she shot back “night spiggy”! Little Madame.

Singing: “Don’t you wish your girlfriend was hot like me” – Thanks a bunch Granny!

She had put my bobble on her leg and she and asked me to take it off:

I said “no you can do it” and she said “you can do the honours”

Ava: “Daddy you know what I want for dinner?”
Daddy: “No, what?”
Ava: “Soap!”

Playing with my old phone: “I’m not getting any signal”

“Oh fiddlesticks”

She really, really makes me laugh every day with the things she comes out with. I’ve said it before but I especially love hearing her play out little scenarios with her toys and do the voices for all of them. They go on a lot of adventures.

Have your children said anything hilarious recently? I love to hear them!

You can find the first two ‘The Things She Says’ here and here.

Brilliant, what a fabulous list of funny things. Jessica has also complained about a white crayon being broken! The comment about a different mummy would let her have a snack made me laugh as did “Mummy I love your boobies” and “oh fiddlesticks!” – so funny. Thank you for sharing with #ftmob 🙂

  13. Amazing list!! I absolutely love it. So pleased to have found your blog.
Yesterday my 3 year old looked at a strawberry and exclaimed ‘Mummy, my dear, there’s a broccoli on my strawberry.’….. about a slightly green tip. I can’t tell if it was the ‘my dear’ or vegetable reference that made me snort giggle more!
