Happy 3rd Birthday to CBeebies Land!

21st June 2017

A couple of weeks ago we went back to Alton Towers with the kids to celebrate CBeebies Land‘s 3rd birthday!

We love CBeebies Land and Ava always has so much fun there – there are lots of great rides for younger kids, including two brand new ones – the Go Jetters Zoomster Vroom Ride, and the The Furchester Hotel Live Show.

We were there with Ava’s cousin N who we’ve taken before, and they have the best time together. This time they were even more lucky, as they got to meet loads of the characters from the shows all at once and spend lots of time with their favourites at the after-hours party! N was constantly running from one to another and hugging them, and it was so lovely to see him so excited. I reckon it was probably a dream come true for him having them all there for such a long time!

We got to have an exclusive go on the new Go Jetters ride (although unfortunately N was too little – that did mean having the characters all to himself for a good few minutes though!), which was really good and Ava loved zooming us up and down, as well as a visit to the Furchester Hotel Live Show, which both the kids loved. They sat and watched happily for a while and then joined in with the singing and dancing, despite having already seen the show earlier in the day. All of the kids there seemed to really enjoy it.

There was also a picnic in the Big Fun Showtime area, and we watched a little show as we ate. It was lovely. Typically (read: stupidly) we had trusted the British weather as it was supposed to red hot all day and had been for days, but no, it went very chilly indeed as well as rainy, and we hadn’t quite come prepared, but we still had a brilliant time.

I think CBeebies Land is an absolutely brilliant addition to Alton Towers, and it’s where we usually spend the majority of our time when we’re there. I love going on the rides with Ava and seeing her having so much fun. I actually didn’t realise it had only been open for three years, as until last year I hadn’t been to Alton Towers in forever!

There are 14 attractions, which doesn’t sound like a lot but it seems like plenty when you are there, and there is so much other stuff to do, such as the ‘Something Special Sensory Garden’, and the ‘Tree Fu Tom Training Camp’, which is like a cool park. There are few attractions that smaller ones (like N) can’t go on yet, but there’s also plenty that they can. Plus under three’s go free to Alton Towers which is great. You can find out more about the rides and any height or age restrictions here.

Next month (8th July) the amazing-looking CBeebies Land Hotel opens and I can’t wait to see it. It looks super cool for any little fans of CBeebies, with themed rooms available, including an Octonuats room (that A would bloody love!) and a Postman Pat room. They all look great, and even the standard ‘Bugbies’ rooms look like so much fun to stay in. We’ve stayed at the Alton Towers Hotel before, and it was so great being able to just pop back to the hotel at the end of a long, tiring day and then already be on site the next morning. I can’t wait to stay at the CBeebies Land Hotel too!

We had a brilliant time at CBeebies Land 3rd birthday party, and it was wonderful seeing how happy it made the kids – thanks so much to Alton Towers for inviting us and letting us be a part of their celebrations!

Happy 3rd birthday CBeebies Land!

We were invited to CBeebies Land as guests at their party, and I am a Merlin Annual Pass ambassador, but all words and opinions are my own.
