I love buying clothes for my daughter and putting outfits together for her, especially in summer as there is so much more choice than in winter and the clothes available always seem to be much more interesting. I do tend to shop at the same stores for her though – mainly due to location as well as price and style.
Somewhere I have never really thought to look for clothes for her is House of Fraser – mainly because I just haven’t thought of it as a place to go for children’s fashion before. But actually, they have a huge range and at really reasonable prices. Especially online there is so much available from all of the different brands that they stock – so it’s really easy to find things that you like.
We were asked if we would like to choose a couple of girls dresses for Ava from House of Fraser. They have tons and tons of clothes items for kids online, so there’s loads of choice to suit different styles and tastes.
I chose two very pretty party dresses that I thought A would like: the Uttam Flamingo Print Frill Day Dress, and the Uttam Embellished Peacock Party Dress (both now in the sale!). Conveniently we had two special occasions coming up – a family diamond wedding anniversary and a family wedding, so it was perfect timing.
Both the dresses were perfect for these occasions, with the Peacock dress being slightly dressier with the sequins and the style, so I chose to put Ava in that for the wedding. She was really comfortable in both of the dresses and played all day long in them.
The Flamingo print dress is really bright and pretty and could just as easily be worn on a summers day not just for an occasion. It’s quite a long dress (at least on Ava), so it’s lovely and flowy and was perfect on a hot day. It has a tropical flamingo and cactus print, and features a round neckline, a sleeveless cut, and a tiered frill skirt. It is made of 100% cotton which is always good, especially in the summer.
The pretty Embellished Peacock Print Party Dress has a really lovely shape to it, and I love the keyhole detailing at the back of the dress – it really adds something to it. It features a round neckline, a sleeveless cut and sequin embellishment, and is also made of cotton.
Both dresses have washed really well, and are pretty easy to iron. They both seem to be really good quality and the prices are reasonable. I think they could both still be worn now that the summer is over, with a cardigan and different shoes. We’ve both been really happy with these pretty dresses.
I’ll definitely be heading to the House of Fraser website next time I’m looking for something for my daughter.
We were sent these dresses from House of Fraser to review, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
