Burglar Bill, Emotions, and Babies! #LittleLoves

30th October 2015

Welcome to this weeks Little Loves!

It hasn’t been the best week for me; I’ve been extremely overtired, emotional and rather low for some of it, and the fact that it is half term hasn’t helped. Ava started at nursery a few weeks in because we were away in Spain and Portugal until the end of September, and I so I just wasn’t ready for half term yet! Ava’s been a pain in the bum too, but oh well, at least it’s Friday!

Read

I know this is a bit self-absorbed and I’m sorry, but I have massively enjoyed reading the comments on my post ‘Why I Feel Differently About My Miscarriage‘ – I was a little bit nervous about sharing my feelings as I had never heard anyone talk about this before, but I have got such amazing comments, on here as well as on Facebook and Twitter, and from my amazing supportive friends. It’s been really lovely and made me so happy. It’s also been nice to hear that (cliche!) I’m not alone in how I feel. The post also made it onto the Mumsnet front page and Tots goodreads which was very lovely.

I also read this post from The Telegraph about cheese being as addictive as drugs. All I can say is, I agree. I bloody love cheese and can often be found raiding the fridge at 11pm on the hunt for cheese and Prosciutto (my other addiction).

Watched

I have barely watched anything again this week, as I have been doing blogging stuff at night. Oh I watched a little bit of Sex and the City again and I have also watched a couple of episodes of ‘The League’ on Netflix. Has anyone seen it? It’s about a group of mostly middle-aged (ish) males that play Fantasy Football. It sooo doesn’t sounds like my sort of thing, and it can be a bit crap, but it’s an easy, short thing to watch and it is quite funny sometimes.

I have also watched Ava crying in front of me (over nothing), over and over and over again. I think we’re going through a stage!

Wore

I actually have a couple of things other than leggings this week!

I dressed up like Burglar Bill for Halloween (I didn’t really but I did look a bit like him), in my Topshop dungarees and oh, Topshop black and white stripe top. I always love wearing my dungarees, despite feeling a bit like a dufus half the time, and getting annoyed when I have to go to the loo in them and trying not to drop the straps into the toilet.

Little Loves - Wear

My hair looks quite blonde here (for me anyway), and I quite like it. I think I’m going to go a biiiit blonder – I’ve started so I might as well carry on now right?

You know how you feel quite nice in something and then you take photos and ugh! Well, that…

Ava got sent some Halloween costumes from Dance Depot, so we had a little dress up session…

Heard

Ava whinging. A lot. I heard Adele’s new song and didn’t love it. It’s probably a grower not a show-er.

I also heard this acoustic version of Latch by Sam Smith. I have known some of his songs but never paid much attention to them, and I’m not entirely sure I love his voice (don’t hate me!) but this song makes me rather emotional, I love the words, and I kind of love it…

“Now I’ve got you in my space, I won’t let go of you”. 💕

Made

I made Spaghetti Bolognaise! That’s about it, as usual. This section is my downfall.

Ava did make some animals and also me apparently with a load of craft stuff… She often loses interest reasonably quickly, especially if I’m not joining in, but yesterday she played with it all for hours and it was really nice. She made monsters and Hippo’s and she made ‘me’ for me because ‘I am very very special and she loves me so much’.

And lastly…

This weekend is going to be a busy one I think. On Saturday we are finally going to meet two of our best friends new baby, and I can’t bloody wait to meet her. She was born a couple of weeks ago but we have been ill so we didn’t want to go and make her poorly, so I can’t wait to finally see the gorgeous little bundle (and get even more broody!). I’m so happy she’s here safe and well. AND! It’s my first friends to have a baby, so I am so happy I finally have some people who know what it’s like!

Then after we’ve met her we are looking after our nephew for the afternoon which I’m really excited about! He’s almost one and he’s super duper cute. Saturday is going to be a lovely day filled with babies!

Hope you’ve had a perfectly lovely week!

I am sorry that you have had a tough week. Why do toddlers always give you a hard time when you are feeling miserable and tired? I also find that I never watch normal TV anymore because of blogging. That is why Netflix and catch up TV are a lifesaver. I hope you have a better week next week and enjoy all your cuddles with babies. Hugs Mrs H xxxx

Well done for sharing your miscarriage post – you should enjoy reading the responses! Very moving. Fab dungarees. I’ve still not found the right pair for me – and am eyeing yours with interest! #littleloves

  14. I love dungarees – yours look so fantastic! I’m so sorry that Ava is going through a phase – it is so difficult and we have one every few months. I used to get so worried that it was me, but I’ve slowly realised they are just so frustrated and emotional sometimes. Hope you manage to get some rest and ‘me time’ xx
