Look After Your Feet This Winter {And Win Scholl Foot Products}

14th November 2015

I hate feet. I know I’m writing a post about them, but aren’t they gross? Especially man feet. Ugh. My feet aren’t tooo bad I don’t think. Apparently it’s a very common thing – my right foot is pretty much fine, but my left foot has A LOT of dry skin. This year it has been especially bad; cracked and painful, and I have no idea why. On top of that, on my hen do my sandals that I have worn for years decided to destroy my one good foot and gave me a huuuge blister and then I actually ended up not being able to walk on it for days (really), which then gave me a bad ankle. It totally wasn’t alcohol related I can tell you, although my other injuries were, I cannot deny that.

Anyway, if we can do something to improve the look of our feet then we should, right? Scholl recently sent me some of their products to try including the Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi.

Express-PediScholl Express-Pedi Review

This is a type of electronic foot file that has a rolling head with micro-abrasive particles and finely ground diamond crystals. It ‘buffs away hard skin in an instant, leaving you with fabulous visibly smooth feet’.

It is really easy to use, you just hold the ergonomically designed handle, take the cap off, switch it on and move it over the dry areas of your feet for a few seconds. I really like it; it obviously doesn’t do anything really drastic, but you can see all the dust of skin particles coming off your foot and my feet are definitely softer afterwards. After using it many times the underneath of my feet do look a lot smoother, and better. I think it helps to just get rid of the excess dry skin on the top layer of your feet to make them look and feel better, and to allow any creams you apply afterwards to absorb better. It does actually make me feel a bit more confident about my feet which is always nice. Over the summer I used it before I went on nights out or days wearing sandals when my heels would be exposed and they did feel better.

After I’ve used the Express Pedi, I tend to use the Scholl Velvet Smooth Intense Serum. I really like this. It is a very runny liquid that spreads really easily, so you don’t need to use a lot and it really makes my feet feel softer. Because it is a serum it absorbs really quickly and I feel like it makes my feet look a lot less dry. I try to use this every day but actually probably only remember a couple of times a week, but I do think it has improved the condition of the skin on my feet and made them feel more hydrated. It contains Hyaluronic acid, green caviar and Pentavitin.

If I feel like I need it, or if I have time I will then use Scholl Dry Skin Instant Recovery Cream; a slightly greasy thick cream that is really good for giving your feet a bit of a massage to make them more smooth and comfortable. It contains a special formula which exfoliates dead, dry skin cells, allowing special moisture boosters to penetrate deep into the skin. The skin on my driest foot looks a lot better after I have used this and it feels really nice.
