Me and Mine: A Family Portrait Project – October 2015

31st October 2015

I kind of can’t believe it’s the end of October already. It’s been a completely and utterly different month to September which we spent the majority of in Spain and Portugal. Sunshine and relaxation have been swapped for rain, cold and getting up early for nursery.

It’s been quite nice though, getting back into more our normal routine and being able to work on my blog properly again. I’ve really enjoyed getting back into it and I’ve been working harder than ever on it.

Some of its been crap too though; we’ve all been poorly for a lot of the time we’ve been back, with winter colds and coughs and I just have so much to do so I’m rather overwhelmed constantly, but hey ho! That’s life isn’t it?

Our pictures for this month were ones we had to make an effort to take, for the first time in a while. I realised it was getting towards the end of the month so when we went to Ava’s Grandma’s house to take some photos of her in her fancy dress (Ava not Grandma!), I made sure I took my new tripod so we could take a few of us together. They were those kind that no-one really wants to take so they’re not amazing but never mind. It’s still nice to have them.

Here are our Halloween themed ‘Me and Mine’ photos for October…

I’m looking forward to November. It’s that bit closer to Christmas and it’s my nephews first birthday so that’s exciting. We’re actually looking after him for a bit this afternoon and I can’t wait!

Hope you have had a great month!

Spain and Portuhal sound so good. Sorry to hear you’ve been poorly though, this weather is just pants for it right now. I’m hoping we have a nice mild November.

I get what you mean about it being nice to get back into the routine of day to day life… I think the Autumn is so often about just that. Although Autumn does also bring those nasty colds and sniffles too which is a pain. Ava looks so cute in these photos, and daddy is rocking that witch’s hat, hahaha! x

  3. I know what you mean about the Autumn having that feeling of routine, it must be all those years of indoctrination at school! These are lovely cosy photos, and the costumes are awesome!!

Sometimes it is nice to be back in a routine isn’t it, your photos this month are very cute! Happy Halloween!

Can totally relate – feels like we’ve been ill constantly over the last month or so!!

Loving hubby wearing the witches hat – it strangely suits him?!

Fab photo of the three of you.
