Revenge, Records, and Murder! #LittleLoves

Happy Friday!

little loves linky

I hope you’ve had a lovely week? Mine has been ok, but very, very busy. I’ve had loads of work to do and have been struggling to catch up. I starting writing this post last week and so had written a load of stuff about Blogcamp, which was last weekend, but I didn’t get it finished – it’s so annoying when that happens isn’t it? I had a great weekend in Birmingham though.

It was my first actual blogging conference, although lets be honest, I didn’t really go to learn blogging things – I went to hang out with friends, and it was lovely. This time last year I didn’t really have any close blogging friends and now I feel as though those special people have always been a part of my life.

Welcome to this weeks Little Loves!

Read

I have read a bit more or ‘Career of Evil’, and also a little bit of ‘Women’s Health’ magazine. I also downloaded ‘Achieve Anything in Just One Year‘ by Jason Harvey after it was mentioned at Blogcamp (I think it was Aby from ‘You Baby Me Mummy‘ who recommended it) but I’ve only read a couple of pages so far. So I might not actually manage to read a book in one year at this rate.

I’ve also read my to-do lists far too many times.

Watched

I finished Pretty Little Liars! I totally got into it near the end, and didn’t realise I was so close to the end so I was pretty gutted! Now I’ve got to wait until the next season is on Netflix and it’s not even on tv yet!

So I’ve started watching season two of ‘How to Get Away With Murder’. I really liked the first season and watched it really quickly, so I’m hoping I’ll enjoy this one as much, but I’m not massively into it yet.

I’ve also watched some more Catastrophe this week and it’s made me properly laugh out loud a few times, which I don’t actually do at tv that often. It’s really good and easy to watch. But now I’ve finished that too which sucks.

catastrophe

I really hate not being ‘into’ a series so I’m desperately trying to find something that I really love – I’ve just discovered there’s a new season of ‘Revenge’ on the American Netflix so I’ve started watching that. I have absolutely loved all the other seasons and really, really (stay-up-all-night-really) got into it.

Wore

My bright yellow raincoat for half the week, and dresses for the other half! Damn mixed up weather! I also went out out for the first time in forever, with my friend last week so I got to dress up a bit, which was nice. I may have ended up slightly worse for wear by the end of the night, after a lot of damn cocktails.

Here, have some shitty photos…

And Ava wore this simple outfit, with her Sheldon the Turtle PaddlePak out in Birmingham and to the Sealife Centre for the day.

Heard

I heard this again and oh my goodness it reminds me so much of my childhood. We had it on record (on RECORD!!); in fact I think I still have it somewhere. I loved it so much when I was really young after my Mum played it.

Made

I made a dinner that I actually had to to prep for at lunchtime, so this week was a big success. And I made shitloads of lists as always.

And lastly…

We seem to be getting really booked up over the summer, which is unusual for us. We have so many little things going on and I can’t really keep up, but it should be lots of fun. I just hope we have some weekends in between to lie in the sun and do nothing. Or in my case, get some housework done and then run outside to say hi to the sun for a second.

I’m very excited about this heatwave we’re supposed to be having really soon! I know full well that if it even gets anywhere near the possible over 38.5°c that has been reported then we will not be able to cope in the slightest, but I say bring it on. I love the sunshine.

    Hiii,

I’m exactly like you with reading. I’m halfway through loads of things and finish nothing half the time!

We loved pretty little liars too, it’s so addictive! The new season starts in the USA next month I think so hopefully Netflix won’t be far behind. I can highly recommend The Walking Dead if you’ve not tried that yet.

    Have a lovely long weekend,

    S x

  2. I wish I was even half way through a book haha, I’d take that as a win! I need a new TV show to watch too, everything seems to be ending at the minute doesn’t it 🙁 xx

I’m pretty poor with reading too. I finished a book I started last summer a few weeks back! I love Catastrophe too. Enjoy the heat wave. I can’t see us having one where I am any time soon, although I couldn’t cope with 38C even when not heavily pregnant!

How To Get Away With Murder season two is great! I was hooked and cannot wait for season three! Its always better to book things up in advance, I tend to make sure I have at least two things planned once a week in the holidays, otherwise the kids end up climbing the walls! Have a wonderful bank holiday weekend xx #littleloves

  5. You look lovely on your night out and there’s always room for cocktails – reminds me I seriously need a night out (and a cocktail or 7!).

I haven’t been to a blog conference for about 6 years, seriously need to get myself to one – although I say that every year too!

    Have a fab weekend x

  6. With reading it’s all or nothing with me. I just love those shoes on your night out ( and those floor tiles are fab too!)

  7. A new series of Revenge!!! I’m off to google it, I loved Revenge! I used to love Tom’s Diner too, I think I have it on my old iPod which is somewhere in the house! xx

I am the same with netflix desperately looking for things that will make me go oh yes another episode. Revenge is amazing all the way until the end I loved all the seasons on that one. Sad it ended unless they started it back up again and I am in crazy town here??? lol Hope you have a lovely bank holiday weekend. #littleloves
