A couple of weeks ago we got a brand new single bed for my daughter and at the weekend we put it up, much to her excitement. Her cot bed has seemed very small for a while now, and as I needed to get her some new bedding it made sense to get her a proper single ‘grown up’ bed.
Her bedroom is decorated quite simply in a sort of pale grey colour, so that we can switch it up easily with curtains and bedding, and bring it all together with accessories and storage boxes. At the moment a lot of that is flowery, pink and girly which she really likes, and it’s a really nice room.
So the addition of the new bed came at the perfect time as Debenhams asked us if they could send us some of their brand new range of Ted Baker bedding for children. The bedding is launching soon and is very lovely.
The Ted Baker Bedding Set at Debenhams
The bedding we were sent was the very pretty ‘Pure Peony’ collection. It’s a beautiful pink floral design and I really like it. It is reversible which is an added bonus, and feels so, so soft and amazing quality. It’s not too ‘kiddy’ at all which I think is really nice and I’d love it for my own bedroom. This design has a digitally printed floral design featuring vivid peonies, with one side featuring animals and more flowers, and the other side being more simple – and the same for the pillow.
I do really wish it didn’t have ‘Baker’ written across it a few times though as in my opinion it cheapens it a little bit. It doesn’t change the whole look of the duvet too much; I just don’t think bedding needs to have the branding on, especially multiple times. I just think things looks a lot nicer without branding on in general, but that’s just my taste and some people might like it! But now I’m used to it, it doesn’t bother me as much.
The quality is really beautiful – it is crafted from 220 thread count cotton sateen, which means it has a really silky smooth finish and it feels so lovely. Ava even noticed how soft it is, and was very excited to go to bed!
It’s a beautiful bedding set and looks gorgeous in Ava’s room – I think it will last for a really long time – both in terms of quality and because she won’t grow out of the style.
We were sent the bedding set from Debenhams but all thoughts and opinions are our own.
