Welcome to Birds and Lilies!

Hi! I’m Louise, and this is my new blog. It’s where I’m going to share my life as a new mummy and the journey I took to get where I am (it wasn’t easy), talk about pregnancy and IVF, parenting, and life with my daughter. But I’ll also share other parts of my life with you too when the mood takes me.

Since becoming a mum, I’ve loved reading mummy blogs (when I can find the time), and I’ve really been inspired to abandon my online marketing/social media blog, for now at least, and start blogging about the thing I’m really passionate about right now; motherhood and babies.

I live in England where it’s usually raining (or so it seems right now; summer.. what summer?!), with my partner (‘the boy’) and my almost 6 month old daughter Ava. I’m currently a stay at home mum and hope to be for a long time to come. Quick I better have some more babies…

I went to University in York, and got a degree that I’ve never used and probably never will. After I finished University I went travelling with the boy which was amaaaazing. My dream to travel again but with the little one this time. I would love love love to do a road trip through America, and I also really want to go back to Vietnam and Thailand, with Ava this time. Maybe one of them will become our honeymoon when we eventually get married (we’re engaged). I think it would be an incredible adventure and also great for her. But I think I’d have to learn to be a bit more relaxed about things first, especially when it comes to parenting.
