Yoga, Little Mix, and Shades of Grey #LittleLoves

4th November 2016

This week has gone pretty fast, I think because A had an Inset day on Monday so it’s been a nice short week to get us back into the school run slowly. Except it’s killed me anyway, and I’m totally knackered! I have made myself go to two whole exercise classes this week though, finally so that’s brilliant – I haven’t been able to make myself exercise for ages. On Tuesday I went to Yoga and then this morning I went to something called ‘Body Attack’, and I do feel very attacked right now. My head is throbbing and my whole body aches already, but I did it! That’s the one good thing about doing the school run – I can drop Ava off and then I’m already out so I can pop to the gym. Saying ‘pop’ to the gym makes it sound so pleasant doesn’t it?

Welcome to this weeks Little Loves!

Read

I haven’t read my book at all this week unfortunately. I did read some lovely words that my daughter wrote all by herself (by copying them) which kind of made my heart melt. I still can’t believe how quickly she’s gone from pretty much only being able to write her name, to being able to write this well and starting to read too. I think even since she wrote this for me at the weekend she has got a bit better at her funny little e’s.

Watched

Season 2 of ‘How to Get Away With Murder’ is finally on Netflix so I’ve been watching that again, and I’ve got really into it. It’s bloody crazy though! So much murder in this season, and really unexpected twists and relationships.

Wore

Ava was sent some bits from the new Boohoo Kids range, including this cute ‘Daughter’ tee.

I’ve pretty much been wearing big jumpers and skinny black jeans, usually with converse. The shade of grey of my jumpers does vary slightly from day to day though.

Heard

I heard this on the radio the other day…!

It seemed like such a weird (and pretty shit) song at the time, but I loved it – I even had it on tape!

We’ve also been listening to a lot of Little Mix at the moment, and especially Secret Love Song, because it’s Ava’s favourite song at the moment! She always ask for ‘the one with the dancefloor’! She also loves Shout Out to My Ex – although she sings ‘Shout Out to My Eggs’ because she thinks she’s funny (she is). I feel like Little Mix are reasonably safe for her to listen to at her age – as long as she doesn’t watch their videos though, and as long as I don’t actually find out what some of the lyrics say (“Hope she ain’t fakin’ it like I did, babe”:o !!!). Hmm, maybe they’re not so safe after all!

Made

This was last week, and I didn’t do a Little Loves last week, so it still counts…

We made some brownies, and raw chocolate pumpkin heads and decorated a table for Halloween, just for fun.

I made dinner for us and my mum and step-dad this week – nothing special, but I haven’t cooked for that many people for a long time! I hadn’t seen them for months so it was really lovely to have them round for a few hours.

And lastly…

I’ve been wishing it was the weekend all week, but now it’s Friday and Ava’s poorly; she started throwing up this morning after I was taken out by a migraine yesterday! And I’m on my own for some of this weekend typically so I’m hoping she’s much better by the morning (for her sake as well as mine, obvs).

Happy weekend! xxx

That line isn’t too bad, you could get away with an innocent explanation. It’s the line before you should be more worried about! (“I hope she’s getting better sex”!!) 😮

  4. Aww poor Ava, hope she feels better tomorrow. Ha ha I just listened to that Little Mix song tonight and thought to myself I’d have to turn it down if it comes on the radio at that bit. How cute is Ava’s writing! My little one has just started taking an interest in letters (he was always into numbers before starting reception class this year) but he’s got a long way to go before he starts writing like that! Hope you have a good weekend 🙂

  5. Oh wow your halloween spread looks amazing! I really hope you both feel better soon xx

  6. Oh no, I hope you’re both feeling better! I love Little Mix too, such catchy upbeat songs – I think most songs have always included dodgy lyrics though (I’m think Spice Girls 2 Become 1 haha) xx
