Hanging Out at Crufts With Lily’s Kitchen and Cat Balding | And Win a Hamper of Cat Food!

24th March 2017

A couple of weeks ago I took a little trip to Birmingham to the NEC with my sister-in-law and my nephew for Crufts 2017.  I was invited by Lily’s Kitchen to join them at the show, and to meet the very special Cat Balding, which was a rather surreal experience!

I’d never been to Crufts before, so it was lots of fun to check it all out and see lots of crazy-haired dogs with their balls proudly on show!

Lily’s Kitchen make proper food for cats and dogs, that is natural and wholesome. They believe that our pets deserve food that is full of nourishing ingredients so that they stay in tip-top condition. Lily’s Kitchen make pet food that is grain free and meat-meal free, and contains only natural ingredients and is approved by vets and nutritionists.

I gave my rather fussy cats some of the Lily’s Kitchen wet food sachets the other day – I didn’t think my very, very fussy cat Molly would eat it, at least until she realised she wasn’t getting anything else – but she did! That’s a first for her – there’s usually only one wet food type that she will usually eat.

To be honest I don’t blame her. I read the ingredients on some of the tins of dog food, and they sounded so good! I couldn’t believe that some of the ingredients were actually in pet food, they sounded so fresh and good, and far too tempting! The packaging is gorgeous too – it’s all so pretty, and I could completely imagine some old dear at the supermarket picking some up for their lunch unintentionally.

We were at Crufts with Lily’s Kitchen to meet ‘Cat Balding’ – the feline version of Clare Balding, with equally good hair and jewellery. Cat Balding, a Purrlitzer Prize winning reporter, faced her greatest challenge – bringing the inside scoop from a cat at the world’s largest dog show! She also spent some time interviewing the lovely Clare Balding, who completely took it in her stride that she was talking to a cat version of herself!

All of the people from Lily’s kitchen were so passionate about the brand and products, and I love that they care so much about pets and the food they eat. They have a great range of wet and dry food for cats and dogs, as well as treats too, all in beautiful packaging that I kind of want to display in my house!
