Denim Skirts, Careers of Evil, and Snapchat #Little Loves

Happy Friday!

little loves

This week has been very busy and certainly not the easiest of weeks. I really enjoyed the beautiful weather we had for a couple of days though, and hopefully it’s coming back now and we’ll have a lovely weekend. I feel like I’ve just been fighting to stay afloat this week, and I can’t seem to catch up. Oh well – it’s Blogcamp next weekend and I can’t wait to see my friends and meet some bloggers I’ve never met before! Are any of you going? I’m really, really hoping my friend Kerry from Noah and the Girls gets a ticket so I can finally meet her!

Welcome to this weeks Little Loves!

Read

I finally started reading a book! I’m reading ‘Career of Evil’ by Robert Galbraith (aka J.K Rowling). It’s the third book in the Cormoran Strike series, and whilst I’m not quite enjoying it as much as did the others yet, I still really like it and the characters. I’m not quite at the ‘can’t put it down’ stage yet, but I think I might almost be there.

It’s only £3.00 on Amazon if you’re interested (but read the others first!).

Watched

More Pretty Little Liars! I’m suddenly on the last season even though there are hundreds of them, which is a bit crap. I’ve really got into it though, and after the first season or two it lost a lot of that terrible cheesiness where they all read out texts together and all those silly bits (you’ll know what I mean if you’ve watched it).

I also watched lots of Snapchat ‘stories’ – I’m really enjoying Snapchat at the moment, and actually it’s probably my favourite social media at the moment. I’m just enjoying the lightheartedness of it right now; it’s a good distraction and I like feeling like I’m getting to know some friends/bloggers a bit better. It feels more personal than other social media because it’s so relaxed and real. I’m ‘loucollier’ on there if you want to follow me.

Wore

These pretty little bracelets from Oliver Bonas. I wanted one or two delicate bracelets that I could wear all the time, but the first two I got both broke so hopefully I’ll have more luck with these. Probably not though because I’m bloody clumsy.

These are baaad Snapchat photos (I really must try to get better at taking some outfit photos), but this week the legs came out, and so did the Birkenstocks! I know lots of people still hate them, but I don’t care; I love them. I also never ever thought I would be wearing a knee-length-ish denim skirt in my life again after having a couple when they were in last time (one was hideous and came to a kind of point in the middle! I thought that had put me off for life). But I love them! I like them because they’re cooler than jeans in the summer (obvs), I can throw them on with a t-shirt and Birks for the school run and feel ok, and this one is pretty flattering I think (not that you can see in this terrible picture). It is a nightmare to go to the loo in though, FYI. This one is from New Look.

And then I wore my beloved dungarees, but with an actual vest top (I heart summer). I really like that casual look.

Summer OOTD's

Over the summer I always end up having a favourite outfit or two of Ava’s that she wears quite a bit and I just love her in. I think these dungarees, a t-shirt and her pink converse are a strong contender already. I love her in them. The dungaree shorts are actually from Primark – and they actually don’t have any stupid sparkly bits or sequins on them like so many of the girls clothes there do.

Heard

Beyoncé, Beyoncé, Shakira, Shakira. Or just Beyoncé. This song’s been in my head non-stop lately, and I can’t stop singing it, which is nice for the people that live with me. That and ‘Latch’, which is always in my head.

Made

Sweet FA!

I wish I’d made this again though..

Deliciously Ella's Raw Chocolate Fudge

And lastly…

This weekend will probably consist of quite a bit of (not) fun house stuff, but hopefully the weather will be nice and we’ll get out in it a bit. I’m so glad it’s the weekend.

I think I’m going to have quite a busy week next week getting things done, before going away to Birmingham (for Blogcamp!) next weekend – I can’t wait! Hope to see some of you there! And if anyone is going – what are you wearing?! I haven’t got a clue yet, and I need inspiration!

Have a beautiful weekend xxx

  1. Love the denim skirt! Think I’m too chunky for one though, ha! And Blogcamp, I think ankle boots and a dress or skinnies and pretty top x

I love those delicate bracelets. I have really wide wrists so don’t really suit teeny bracelets unfortunately… Love the dungarees! #littleloves x

You HAVE to help me with Snapchat. I just don’t get it. *wails*
