Fun

I love the days when I’ve had a bit more sleep and I’d be happy playing with Ava all day. I love how easy it is to make her laugh at the moment and how much fun just the two of us can have together if I make the effort. It’s not that I don’t want to get down on the floor and play with her, but due to a massive lack of sleep I often want to have a cup of tea and a rest while she plays.

I do play with her every day but some days I do have to encourage myself to put down my phone and let my tea go cold and join her on the floor. I’m working on being more present and I think I’m getting better at it (sleep helps). After all, these years when she is so little will go by so fast and I want to enjoy them while they are here.
