This is a guest post by Stacey from Stacey in the Sticks.
During school holidays, one thing I will always get asked by Jacob is “Mummy, can I do some craft?”. And I always inwardly groan. I do love getting crafty, but just not with my children sometimes! The mess, yuk. The getting bored half way through and me having to finish it off. But, to keep the boys happy I will smile and say “Yes, of course!”.
Though Jacob prefers the messier stuff, I try to steer him toward something less messy, but still creative. I had some of these wooden alphabet letters lying about so I decided they could make some door plaques. They just involve a bit of painting, gluing and sticking so it’s a short enough activity to keep their attention span.

Aren’t these a great idea to keep kids entertained during the holidays?! Will you be making them with your children?
These are so cool! Awesome idea Louise. We both feature on VitalityMove, thought I’d pop over and say hi.
Thanks Paul! It wasn’t actually my idea – my friend Stacey wrote this, but they’re great aren’t they! Thanks for popping by! x
Great DIY! I’m going to try this with my son. Looks like fun!
