My Little One Starting School

Today my lovely little girl will be starting school for the very first time! At the beginning of the year it just seemed crazy that I could have a child old enough to be starting school, but it doesn’t really now that I’ve got used to it, and it’s very exciting.

I can’t wait to see her all dressed and looking very cute in her little school uniform, with her backpack and lunchbox all ready to go! She’s very excited to start, and I know she’s going to love it. She’s such a sociable little girl and very caring and lovely so I’m sure she’ll make lots of friends quickly.

It will be weird at first – having to do the school run every day, and having a strict and important routine for the first time ever, but we’re looking forward to it. It will be strange not being able to just do what we want almost every day, after being able to for all of her life. But she’s ready; I think she’ll love it and I can’t wait to watch her grow and flourish and learn new things.

To be honest I also can’t wait to have some time EVERY DAY to get things done! Five actual days a week to catch up and then keep up with work, and housework, and maybe I’ll even go crazy and tackle the Mount Everest that is my ironing pile! If I want I can have one day for housework, one day to sort house stuff out and will still have THREE DAYS to do work! I’ll miss her lots when she’s at school, but I’m bloody excited, I’m not going to lie.

I’m so proud of the wonderful little lady she’s become, and I’m really looking forward to watching her grow and develop over the next few years at Primary School. She’s an amazing little human, and I love her so much!
