Ava and I were recently invited to a fun Num Noms event at Bella Italia in Nottingham. I didn’t really have a clue what a ‘Num Nom’ was until I was contacted about the event and Ava told me what they were.
If you are in the same boat as I was, a Num Nom is a little rubber toy, that is scented and stackable, and you can get different ‘bases’ for them to sit on, and other little accessories.
I’ll be honest – they don’t appeal to me in the slightest, but I’m unsurprisingly not their target audience, and the kids seem to really love them, and had a lot of fun playing with the hundreds of them at the event.
Ava was very excited to be making one of her favourite foods at the event – pizza! I think she was a little disappointed to find that the pizzas already had a base and cheese on and all the kids had to do was add their choice of toppings – she really wanted to get stuck in! Plus she’s super fussy at the moment, so she literally put a few pieces of chorizo onto her pizza and then refused to add anything else. She sure as heck knows her own mind.
Whilst we waited for the pizzas to cook A got her face painted by a very talented lady. Ava loves having her face painted and she always knows exactly what she wants – last time was a tiger, this time a butterfly. Later on her and I also got our arms painted to match, which she loved.
Whilst the kids were eating their pizzas, the adults were brought some lovely pizzas and Lasagnes which I very much enjoyed, and then Ava spent a while happily playing on the floor with the other kids and tons of Num Noms. Ava has been sent some of the new Series 2 Num Noms which she hasn’t stopped playing with, and it’s great because they’re small enough to fit in your bag to keep them entertained if necessary. I’ll be reviewing them soon and doing a giveaway too so keep an eye out for that!
There was also a fun ‘guess the smell’ test that A took part in where the kids were blindfolded and had to guess what the different things were by their smell.
It was a fun event and Ava really enjoyed herself, and has been talking about Num Noms ever since!
Thanks so Bella Italia and Num Noms for inviting us to the event.
